Working at home has gaining popularity over the past years. It became the ideal lifestyle presented by all sorts of online guru's. They make it look like it is possible to go from broke to being rich overnight, but let me make one thing clear: it isn't. To be able to work from home takes a lot of effort, consistency and most of all patience. First you must have the right mindset before we can go further. This part is crucial if you want to succeed in working from home.

Develop a clear vision of what you want. Working at home is means to an end, but if you don't clearly see what your goals are, you will lose the focus of getting what you want. My goal was to be able to attain an income from my online efforts so I could support myself and do whatever I want, whenever I want. During my hours behind my computer I always kept that thought close to me to keep me focused and motivated. But your goal can also be creating an extra income besides your normal job or being able to buy a car, that's all perfectly fine, as long as you keep your clear vision. Remember, working at home should not be your goal, it is a tool to reach your goal.

In my quest to reach my goals and start working at home I've came across a lot of work at home opportunities. I have tested almost every possibility under the sun. Looking back to that period of time there are a couple of things I wish I had done different. I wanted too much too soon, so I started trying all kinds of work at home opportunities and never actually worked one and try to make that one work first. Until the moment I started focusing on one method I never made one buck. This also comes down to the focus. It will be hard too see not a single dollar back for the efforts you make, but now when I look back on it, it was all worth it. I'm not saying you shouldn't test different opportunities but when you found one that fits you, the best thing you can do and stick with that for starters. When generated some income out of that, you will see that it is possible to obtain some income working at home.

It is perfectly natural you will fail in the beginning, there is nothing wrong with that. Most of the time people will fail in the beginning. I don't even remember how many times I failed trying to make an income working from home. How fast you will be back and try again separates the losers from the winners.
